Funny thing...

Postby Gretchen2323 » Fri Feb 06, 2004 4:25 pm

It's actually kinda weird how I found out about GRETCHEN. I was searching the web one day and i was really bored so I typed in my name (my name is Gretchen) to see if anything cool came up, ya I'm a dork, so somehow I got sent to the GRETCHENLAND.com website. I started looking around and checked out some of the music clips that are on the website and really liked them, so from then on I have been a fan and i really like your most recent CD. Your band has a lot of potential, I want you guys to come to the bay area (San Francisco, California) becuase it would be awesome to see you live and your music would do well here, i think the people in the bay area would enjoy your music. Look into playing at such places like The Fillmore, Slims or SF Pound. Thanks guys, your awesome (not to mention your band title...how did you come up with that?)

I was lead by the Lord to Gretchen through Disciple's old website. The Lord had been dealing with me BIG TIME about my smoking. One day while on Disciple's site I went to a link that lead me to Gretchen's site. When I saw that this was a female fronted band I had to order the cd. But the Lord lead me to order both cd's. When I heard the song "Popular", I knew it was the Lord again! I threw my cigarettes away and have been smoke free for almost 2 years now! The Lord works in mysterious ways. He used music I love to speak to me. Thank you for letting the Lord speak through you

Heh, found out through Dave himself. Saw him about phpbb ,and we appear to share a common love for RA, which sparked off a random conversation between us. :)

I found Gretchen back in 2000 when I was creating a website featuring female fronted Christian Rock bands. I discovered the band on MP3.com as "Serenade". I've been a die hard fan ever since.
I sent Dave and Mia an email about their music and received a personal reply from them. How often does that happen with a band?!

how I found Gretchen

Postby emtheelf » Mon Mar 29, 2004 2:31 pm

Well I had heard of GRetchen from a few friends and heard of there CD but I seen them @ my lil sisters skool (HHS) where they were having a show for club 121! it was small because most of the kids there are'nt really into that "type" of music but I LOVED it my sister, my bestfriend, and I were like the only ones up and moving it was GREATTT!! and I am now a Gretchen fan for LIFE!!!

:P I'm a dork, too. And I'm Gretchen and found this site the same way you did. Very funny, though...I love this style music. I can't believe I've never heard of "Gretchen" before! (I also can't believe it let me use "Gretchen" as my Member name! It's the first time that's ever happened! I'd have thought it was taken, considering...
