I've been working on this for some time now... I just confirmed that our stuff has finally made it into and is now available via the FYE retail chain.

Here's the scoop...

I got an email, from the regional sales analyst for Transworld (fye's parent company) telling me that he's ordered product for all of the stores in TN & NC -- and will be ordering for the other areas where we've played or had radio play this year. I was ecstatic about this, but have kinda kept it down till I actually had verified that the stuff was getting into the stores..

I just came back from the Bristol Mall today-- and WOW!! they were there -- our Cd's -- couldn't believe it. Especially since we had two setbacks when dealing with FYE.

Originally we had been turned down, when our distribution company had first approached FYE when the CD was released... So then we looked at their Local Eyez program and had actually been accepted by one of their feeder distributors (BCD) but they were never able to place the product. To make things worse, they [url=http://www.stretchtheskies.com/?goto=fye_submitted§ion=fye]totally changed their Local Eyez program[/url]-- and we were 5 months into this thing -- talk about frustrating!!!

Now crazy thing is that somewhere along the line FYE actually put us into their system via our main distributor, (meaning that it was accepted, and could be special ordered, even though they had not opted at the time for bulk placement) -- The only problem with this was 1) They still weren't ordering the CD for store placement & 2) They didn't tell our distributor and we had no idea.

I just happened to stumble across this info when talking to a few managers -- trying to probe them for possible contacts within Transworld to pester about the local Eyez scenerio --- once I found out -- I told our Distributor's sales staff -- and they were able to get some placement now by showing them the sales data that we had already. They actually have taken 2-3 units per store... then from what I understand, if they sell thru, replenishment will be automatic.

It's amazing how much stuff will try and fall through the cracks...

But anyway, I'm totally stoked. Wanted to share this here with everyone... and encourage everyone to stick to your guns. Persistance will take it's toll & payoff for you!!!

the store will order it for you -- you just need to ask -- if you guys can get them to order the CD they will ad the CD as regularly stocked item... which means after the one CD sells -- they will continue to replenish their stock.

Well -- I thought that I'd update this post a little... There's been quiet a bit of things happening the last few days. As some of you know we had a few months ago had a breakthrough with getting our CD in to FYE - Well we've just had a breakthrough with getting some movement on quiet a few other store locations in the mainstream. I've update the first part of this thread to include the chains where the CD is now (or will be soon) available.

I live on a small Island in Washington state... I live in OakHarbor.... Our book store it just called " The Bible Book Store" it is the only one that we have also... in futher towns out...off the Island there are the christian Outlets that still have not heard of them... It makes me angry... Gretchen is the best... God bless.. and keep going at it...

Hey Storm... thanks for the feedback...

I tried looking up the store you mentioned "The Bible Book store" in Google. I found one called "the Bible Book Shoppe" . Is the the one you were referring to?

Also if you get me any more info like ph#, address -- I'll get some people to follow up...

Do you have any way of printing out the info sheet mentioned earlier in this post? If you do It would be great if you could take that to them the next time you go by there...
